If you want to 'earn' diamond your best bet other than other promotions is probably the daily bonuses with VP. You said you take $2-$3k when you go. If you can play 99% VP (which even though I know most caesars removed 9-6 JoB they still have 99% deuces) then you can play X hands to generate 2,500 points, which gets you 5,000 point bonus. Your expected loss is easy to calculate. In years past when we did diamond in a day our expected loss was about $300... and we ended up being down about $350, but got 2 buffets that night, $200 in return rewards the next week, $100 diamond dinner, free rooms for trips, etc, etc. It's beyond worth it, in my opinion.
Do note that usually once per year they do promotions to earn massive quantities of tier credits. This past year I believe they did 'whatever you earn in these 3 months we'll match up to 25k.' So if you did diamond in a day then, you'd basically get Aspirations Level 1. Or, you could do half of it and expect to lose only half of that EV and then get the bonuses to get diamond.
As JohnnyQ said, research their site. It has all the answers you want =).
Thanks for the tip, as Im well aware of the bonus level matches and hoping to get there but Ive sat at the Extra bar in PH for hours pumping hundreds into 10 play $1 JOB and only got like 300-400 tier credits and to top it off I Lost like $400, So why does everyone keep saying lose only $300 and get 2,500 credits ??
Ive been a Total Rewards Platinum member now for 4-5 years and go to Las Vegas 6-7 Times per year, Ive never been able to get to Diamond(other than my founders card gave me diamond free) but I would Appreciate any and all help from people who seem to have a good idea of how to acrue tier credits via the daily bonus and which slot or machine play to use. I usually go for 2-4 days and usually only take 2-3k dollars with me each time. I read an old post on this forum where someone stated a money in of 25,000 could expect a 700 dollar loss?? obviously im cool with that but how does it work please, thanks for your reply in advance
I did DiaD with $2 9/6 JoB last year.
$50k coin-in. 8hrs playing straight.
I ran good.
+$1k and I didn't hit a royal or a straight flush.
Plus:
4days later, got an email saying I got $200 in freeplay.
200/50k = .4%
also, that 50k coin-in = 5k rc = $50 comps
50/50k = .1%
9/6 JoB = 99.5% + .4% +.1% = 0% house edge!

Sometimes you run good sometimes you run bad. On average it'd be -$300.

I must be playing the wrong games or something, do you do it with only one hand ? Because i usually play 5 play or 10 play and $1 credit. Im assuming that your just committing to the machine with the entire bankroll and hoping through ups and downs you end up around 300 down right ?? Because like ive said I usually play at PH extra bar and usually play 10 play and ive never gotten more than 300-400 credits on 400-500 dollars lost
I did the DIAD last weekend in Laughlin. Played the 50 play ten cent Bonus Deuces. It took just about four hours to get in the $50k coin in. I ended up down just over $300 which was better than expected. In the past Harrah's has sent me multiple $200 free play vouchers after doing DIAD.
lucky you.
horseshoe only sent me one for my diad but it was the 1st time I made diamond.

before that, I only played 75 credits each visit (once a week) for the $10 Return Rewards.haven't tried to make diamond this year yet because they downgraded all the vp. :(
~98% is now their best vp :(

So you played $5 total per hand Bonus Deuces for four hours ??? I usually play 10 play $1 credits so $10 per draw and ive never got anywhere near even 1,000 TC on 500 dollars ?? What am i doing wrong ??
No, it was a 10 cent machine and I was betting 5 credits per hand. So the bet was $0.50 x 50 hands for a total of $25 per game. I was playing about 500 games per hour.

which CZR casino in vegas would you reccomend ? And do you just play single hand or what? sorry for questions just looking for some help
Check out a very helpful site called VPFREE2.com, and see what each casino has to offer. Also, look carefully. Some CZR VP Machines are $ 10 coin-in = 1 Tier Credit. The best paytables are (now) more coin-in, I think up to $50 per Tier Credit.
